|RedKorn is more experienced with it than I am, but I can provide some tips.
Make sure to use a waterproof back cover, if there is even slight possibility of any salt water getting on the camera housing. It will keep salt water away, but also the surrounding sounds will be hard to record.
Other tip is use of a polarizing filter. So if you are going to do filming in bright sun a lot it might save the camera and provide a better shot. About $10.00 on Ebay.
When transferring files to YouTube, do it overnight. A ten minute recording took me almost three hours.
If I left the page, it would get cancelled and had to start all over.
