I normally buy and use braid for saltwater, but I just picked up an UL freshwater rod, and I'm looking for some 6lb test. Any suggestions for brands/where to buy?

I see some real cheap danielson line for 2 dollars at the outdoor store I got to, but I don't think I'll be buying that...

I strongly recommend you The P-Line CXX, its a little more expensive but its VERY strong, has a thinner diameter, abrasion resistant and low memory...I have it in all my small spinning reels...for the larger ones I have them spool with green Maxima Wink

Just spooled today at Sport Chalet some P-Line CXX and it was $0.03/yard. That was for 20#, the smaller lines cost about $0.02...even if you spool 200 yards it's like $4 not too bad

IR's plan is solid, imho. It's really sweet line, which under clearwater/shallow water conditions will almost for sure out fish other lines.
In larger amounts, besides everything counting, ha, the line that I liked for the cheap money is/was Izorline. No, it's not quality; it's thick and takes a beating and for the buck, that's what I needed.

Oh. A lot less expensive than I thought it'd be... I've never done this spooling service, so I hadn't thought of it. Do they do this at big five as well? No sports chalets nearby

Also, Do you prefer it in moss green or just plain transparent?
