Thanks red and jed.

Well, the reason they have bison on the island is because they were brought over for filming. I guess it was too costly to take them back so they left them.

I think it is the same with goats, but I am not sure.

I have the DVD of South Pacific and saw the live performance of it here in LA.

Jed-- I will be at the Balboa pier on Sunday after 10.00 AM if you want to join me.

Here are a few pics from Little Harbor.

Little Harbor gets pretty busy in the summer, so you do need to make reservations early. They rent Kayaks if you want to fish from them, and there's lots of great shoreline access. Check it out on Google images, and you'll get some really nice photos with more panoramic views.

Here's a link to the page for the campsite.

Thanks fo the informatoin and pictures.

Burger and I have started planning for a trip, depending on some issues.

Looks like real camping, since everything has to be taken there, inlcuding tent and food.

I was even looking at a foldable dish washing conainer at the Bass Pro Shops today.

I was there to get some new gear fo our November trip.

Great report! Didn't know photobucket had a max bandwidth limit. I wonder if imageshack does too or not?

Thanks for the kind words.

I don't think it was from the PFIC viewing that it got overloaded.

It must have been the people, who went on the photobucket to view the pictures.

How did they found out about it I don't know. It shows a big spike for the two recent posts.

Anyhow it does not matter, it is not too bad $29.95 for a year is ok for now.

As Yoda would say: "Of PFIC you underestimate the power."

I looked around and it would seem that every time someone views the pictures, even outside photobucket, it eats PB's bandwidth since the images are hosted on their servers. What others have done is used an image editor to resize them not only in physical size but in quality too (pixels per inch). Having a high pixel count will lead to a higher file size and therefore more use of bandwidth.

For monitor display, images are fine at 72ppi. Many cameras offer different qualities such as normal, fine, and superfine. These are for printing purposes really since anything below 240ppi is not going to come out smooth (and professionals don't go below 300ppi). You will not see a difference on a normal monitor with 72ppi vs. 300ppi, even on most HD monitors. This can save a lot of space on photobucket.

Wow! Great pics & very informative. Makes me want to go there too, that's for sure. Thanks Mahi!

With photobucket, I will delete old photo albums to save space like once a year.
