Two quick questions, how long do incoming/outgoing tides normally last? Also, which tide do you normally catch stripers on?

The moon controls the tide. Can be short (say 4 hours), or long (8 hours). The amount of water that moves during the tide cycle also varies greatly. There can be a long tide that only move 4 feet of water, and there can be a short tide that will move 7 feet of water. Just depends on the gravitational pull on any given day. As for Stripers, I have caught them at all tides in all conditions. If they are around, they will hit your bait. More like attack it Smile..

Check the tide predictions before & for the area where you are going to fish.

I use www.saltwatertides.com.

There are some other good ones as well. I tend to use this one because it works best on my tablet for whatever reason...

Just ask Bill O'Reilly-
The tides are proof of the existence of GOD.
Nothing more, nothing less...
