Need a idea on whats legal for gaff length while fishing off our coastal rocks ? Got a swimming pool net handle that extends to 10 or 12 feet , would make a nice light gaff ! Never caught anything I could not just lift up , but I'm feeling lucky , who knows ?

Search the regs. I have never heard of restrictions on the length of a gaff handle, but then again there are lots of things I have never heard.......... I do know there are species and area restrictions on gaffs.
