...am I going to walk that hill without a car. Over a mile down a steep hill in and then the same up hill on way out. BIG THANK YOU Red Fish for helping me haul my cart. Or I would still be on that hill.
Went and tried a new spot Sat morning with a couple of fellow PFIC members for a day of crab snaring.
Crab were there. So many reds, "yuk", my fellow PFIC buddy got to keep a bucket full of big 5inchers and bigger. I believe she had a limit. Me, I left with 6 nice dungees and 10 big reds 6inchers all of em.
We fished the end of the outgoing and some of the incoming tides, maybe 5hours. Surf was predicted at 5ft or more but in this place it was almost calm. Very protected.
We were using Sofa King Snares and squid for bait.
I was catching them 2-3 at a time.
I don't really want to give up the name of this exact spot but It was along the San Francisco/Marin coast.
What a trip.
Maybe, if somebody else wants to pull my cart up that hill when we are finished, I will share where we were via p.m. and give them half of my reds.
I didn't bring my camera but I know somebody else did, maybe they will post them.
