I was out there over the weekend and fished on a rental dingy . We fished the kelp beds close to the shore around 8am to 1pm.
Four of us pulled up varieties of rock cods; about 25 fish over 12". Landed a nice ling:15lb/32".

We fished the pier after and landed a 24" butt around 3pm. All the locals seem to fish the shore at about 5-10 ft depth with dead anchovy on a bobber. There were no bait ball around which I found unusual for this area. I saw 3 butts caught up until 5pm despite the wind. They looked to be keepers but not sure.

If anyone is going out there, good luck and happy fishing!
