I'll give it a spin and try to add a picture too...

I've been kayaking alot in the San Simeon area. Jigging mostly plastics in the 20-70ft range. Rootbeer scampi's on 2oz dartheads are working the best for everything right now. Browns and Oranges are killer colors. Whites and purples aren't producing the way they normally do. To give you an idea of the production that can be found I'll share stats with you combining the last 2 trips (5 hours total fishing, just my stats).

7 lings to 36" (kept 2 of them)
3 cabs to 22" (kept 2 over 2 trips)
4 big greenling (released)
4 boccacio (released)
~20 various rockfish (olives, blacks, blues, gophers, B&Ys, Coppers, some big Vermillions, most were released)

the ling in the pic is ~36" 22lbs.

Now do you see why I haven't been posting? Who'd be fishing from shore with these results awaiting a couple hundred yards out

Gorgeous beast!

Here's mine (from a little bigger boat):

Renee and I are going to buy kayaks next summer ... we're thinking of going with Malibu X-Factors. Can't wait to try for rockies just off shore.

Bob, are you next Wink

Wow, this is great with the editing featuring I can come off as half way intelligent, or not LOL! Only thing now is I have to allot extra time for editing.(Fragmented sentence follows on purpose) Could turn in to a novel that way with all the rewrites; second LOL!

Hmm, HTML tags don't seem to work. And, if someone just happens to be viewing at the time editing is occurring, they will notice on-going revisions, LOL! Revisionist just saw the usuable editing text tools at the top of the "Edit Post" page Smile

You can always say, "I never said that," now, except for cache History and print outs of course Wink

Feel free to edit my text Ork Wink

Ha, ha, hopefully this won't promote any on-line battles. At least they can edit and make up Smile Okay, almost time for me to delete myself for wasted space Smile

That's a nice ling there, Aaron.

Good approach to a message board. Best of luck and best wishes to all. Remember to get up from the desk and go fishing once in a while.
