Tuesday, March 23, 2010 dinner! Fresh caught bass, cooked in a garlic-citrus marinade. (Oranges from my tree, lemons from my father in laws tree), sprinkled with parsley from my garden. Steamed brown rice cooked in a vegetable stock, on a wrap of leaf lettuce from my garden. With a drizzle of sour cream and valentina hot sauce and a little tiny bit of the citrus vinegrette that I made with the left over lemon and orange.

this was yummy.

Looks good. I might give it a try if I catch a striper this year.

Mmm. Did you chill the fish before putting it in the wrap or serve it hot?

I served it warm, not hot. I may try it cold, but I do prefer cooked fish warm, and uncooked fish cold. LOL

nice, how do you make the sauce, i'm good with marinades and bad with sauce

the sauce was 1 whole lemon squeezed with any bits that come out of it (sans seeds), 1 half orange squeezed, a pinch of salt, about 1 tablespoon of olive oil, a dash of pepper. Shake vigorusly. Thats it! If I were to do a true sauce i would have reduced it by half to thicken it, but then its a bit sweet and would need to add some vinegar to it, but this was just fine, a very loose sauce (meaning pretty watery).

id ad a few cilantro leaves, but im too into cilantro for my own good.

Oh, belive me, there was cilantro to be had! LOL, I would add it to the bottle, but it seems to turn black after being chopped up and kept for too long. So, I just chop and toss it on when I am ready to eat.
