Nasty at Newport Pier

Hey guys,

Need some help here. I haven't posted in a while but I love fishing at Newport.

Anyhow, I took my daughters and nephews fishing on Saturday morning from 5-8am. My nephew caught a good sized lizard fish. After about 15 minutes, my nephew was looking in our bucket and saw something crawling out of its head right behind its right eye socket...NASTY! This thing looked like a white-ish sand crab parasite thing. Then it crawled into the gils of the mack that was in the buck with it.

I wish I had taken a photo of it, but it was pretty weird. Any idea what this thing was?
