Fished friday noon to afternoon for a skunk at cayucos. No one was hooking up anything except a crab. Used squid. Had a bite on a whole squid that turned up missing though... similar to the large halibut behavior I experienced exactly a year ago.

Went over to morro bay for another skunk. One person said he got a ray earlier that morning. Guess I'll be waiting a few more weeks for the waters to warm and the bait to move in

you just have to be persistent, fish the right tides, have the right bait, find the right spots.... but the fish are there....

better luck next time

Try as I might,I haven't been able to find them. I did see the guy hook onto a big ray though. He said that it was his fourth of the morning. He caught them on squid casting half way into the channel. All were released.

Same story for me too lately. I got a couple Bass at the Lake and a few Rays in Morro but thats it. Send me an email if you want to go fishing. Class is out for me so I'll be going as much as possible.
